The Consumer Protection Authority in cooperation with Oman Trading Establishment LLC and Moosa Abdul Rahman Hassan & Co. LLC launched a recall campaign for 15 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon vehicles from 2021 models

Where 3 Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles were recalled based on the chassis numbers from (1GNSC8ED0MR181149) to (1GNSK8KDXMR177648). In addition, 11 GMC Yukon vehicles were recalled based on the chassis numbers from (1GKS17ED0MR160847) to (1GKS27KLXMR249320). While one GMC Yukon XL vehicle was recalled based on the chassis numbers from (1GKS18ED3MR252895) to (1GKS28KL8MR163736). This recall comes due to a defect in the manufacture of the fuel pump power control unit which may lead to a failure of the pump or its operation intermittently. Consequently, the interruption of pumping fuel to the engine which will cause the car to stop suddenly. The driver will notice a warning signal to check the engine with the presence of Difficulty in engine operation. In addition to reduced vehicle capacity.

Accordingly, the company will replace the fuel pump power control unit..
