The Consumer Protection Authority, in cooperation with Alfardan Group (Excellent Cars) launched a recall campaign for 15 Audi (TTR8) 2015-2017 models based on chassis numbers (TRUAFBFV1G1000388), (TRUAFBFV2G1000402), (TRUCSAFVOG1033517), (TRUBFBFV8G1000425) and (W7990F1X6GUAANB25). (TRUBFBFV3G1000431), (TRUBFBFV7H1012857), (TRUBFBFV9G1000434), (WUAANBFX8H7902035), (TRUBFBFV961000580), (WUAANBFXXH7902375), (TRUSFDFV2G1000626)

(WUAANBFX7H7902754), (TRUTSCFV8G1010045), and (WUAANBFX1H7903205).

This recall comes due to the danger of flying metal fragments during the collision and the explosion of the driver's airbag which leads to injury to the driver and passengers. Accordingly, the company will replace the front airbag for the driver.

These recalls confirm the efforts made by the authority in the field of traffic safety, in cooperation with car agencies, to preserve the lives and safety of consumers and provide them with the necessary protection in line with its continuous keenness to conduct continuous reviews of all products offered in the Sultanate’s markets.
