The Public Authority for Consumer Protection, in cooperation with the Advanced Technology electronics Company, has launched a recall campaign for a number of MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch devices which produced in June 2015.

This recall includes all devices sold during the period from September 2015 to February 2017 due to a manufacturing defect in battery components causing a high temperature, which leads to the risk of fire. Accordingly, the organization will replace the affected battery.

The recalls confirms the Authority's efforts in the field of traffic safety in cooperation with the competent agencies, and in line with its keenness on the procedures of continuous reviews of all products on the market in the Sultanate in order to provide the necessary protection to consumers in all areas.
